After 6 months of preparation, I passed OSCP on my first attempt! Here’s my complete study plan, resources I used, and tips for the exam. Happy to answer any questions.

Study Timeline:

  • Months 1-2: TryHackMe and HackTheBox basics
  • Months 3-4: PWK lab machines
  • Months 5-6: Proving Grounds and exam prep

Congratulations! This is really helpful. How many hours per week did you study? And did you find the PWK lab machines representative of the actual exam difficulty?

Thanks! I studied about 15-20 hours per week on top of my full-time job. The PWK lab machines are slightly easier than the exam on average, but the methodology you develop is what matters. I’d say Proving Grounds “Hard” machines are closest to exam difficulty.
