The OPM Breach

The Office of Personnel Management breach exposed the security clearance background investigation files of 21.5 million individuals, including fingerprint data of 5.6 million people. The breach, attributed to Chinese state-sponsored actors, compromised some of the most sensitive personal information held by the U.S. government.

SolarWinds Supply Chain Attack

The SolarWinds attack compromised 18,000 organizations including multiple U.S. government agencies. The attackers, attributed to Russian intelligence, inserted malicious code into software updates, creating a backdoor that went undetected for months.
